The Indiana Coalition for Public Education has partnered with ICPE of Monroe County, Northwest Indiana Coalition for Public Education and the North East Indiana Friends of Public Education in asking Governor Holcomb and Dr. Kristina Box, the Indiana State Health Commissioner, to put a higher priority on teachers and school personnel in the sequence of people eligible for COVID vaccinations.

The Centers for Disease Control Guidelines recommend vaccinating teachers, school support staff and daycare workers right after frontline health care workers. We think that should be Indiana’s priority as well! It will make adults and children safer and help us keep schools open.
