My name is ____________________, and I’m a ________(parent, grandparent, Republican grandparent, teacher, nurse, mom, dad …identify who you are to the Republican chairperson). I am calling to oppose Senate Bill 1.
This bill, in its original and amended versions, will decimate funding of public schools, libraries, county councils, and cripple the operations of essential services to our communities.
I need you to stand up against SB1. Support students and their families. Cutting taxes without replacing them significantly harms our public schools and communities, as the present costs remain and will grow due to inflation. For students to be successful, educated, productive citizens, Indiana must invest in them.
Our public schools are the heart of our communities and the very foundation of Indiana’s economic future.
Fulfill the Constitution of Indiana and FUND our public schools. Thank you!
