Take Action
Read and learn about ICPE’s Legislative Priorities. Find urgent calls to action on our blog or social media for specific bills or issues with special instructions. In general, here are some of the things you can do to take action and advocate for public education:
Quickly contact legislators and pertinent committee members.
Schedule a meeting with your legislator. Citizens can lobby, too.
Snail mail works! Postcard campaigns can be very effective.
Talk with a human or leave a message for your legislator or staff.
Any citizen can do this! We can show you how to advocate in person.
Social media draws attention to issues and calls to action.
Letters to the Editor tell communities what’s happening.
Host a community meeting (or zoom) and ICPE will present.
Talk to your friends, neighbors and family members. Listen to concerns.
Invite people to join ICPE and follow us on social media.
Attend a “Third House” (aka “Cracker Barrel”) or Town Hall Event.
Donate to join ICPE and support public schools!
